Recorded Webinar and Free Resources. How to talk to children and young people about war and understanding and supporting our refugee children

Welcome to the LearningShared Magazine / Newsletter

Our ambition with the LearningShared magazine / newsletter is to share and showcase aspirational stories and practice from across the LearningShared community along with signposting useful links and opportunities.

Learner voice sits at the heart of this publication and we warmly welcome ideas, contributions and support with the editing, design and all aspects of LearningShared.

LearningShared is intended as a useful FREE resource and interesting read for staff, learners and families alike, so please feel free to share the PDFs (click on the cover images or links below) widely within your school and across your network.

We hope learners, families and your wider school’s community enjoy these resources.

Please get in touch by emailing learningshared@theteachercloud.net if you’d to support or contribute to future editions.

We are delighted to present the 2nd and Christmas edition of the LearningShared magazine which features award winning comedian, actress and author Rosie Jones. We also spotlight the incredible work of our friends at Swiss Cottage School and their employMEnt pathway along with the brilliant Ella Beaumont and her virtual advent calendar.

A key feature of LearningShared is to provide opportunities for learners and showcase the amazing things happening all across our community. For this edition the inspiring students of Ivy House School supported the editing process and chose our front cover (we think it looks fantastic!).

Please get in touch if you would like your learners to feature in an article or support the production, creative & editing aspects of the magazine.

We hope learners, families and your wider school’s community enjoy it.

The aim of the LearningShared podcast has been to shine a light on creative, inspiring ideas and effective practice that supports the holistic development of children, young people and adults – especially those with special educational needs and disabilities or any form of additional learning needs.

During episodes, we’ve heard from and talked with a wide range of colleagues who are doing wonderful and inspiring things to change the lives of some of the most vulnerable learners in our society.

Together we’ll learn about, explore, discuss and debate interesting ideas, effective practice,  developments and important issues in the realm of education, development and wellbeing.

With that in mind, please get in touch if you have you’d like to suggest a topic for a future episode. Or if you’d like to be involved in any way.
