Import Learners
The Evidence for Learning App allows you to import your learners in bulk. It’s very easy to do once you have collected the data in the right format.
The Evidence for Learning App allows you to import your learners in bulk. It’s very easy to do once you have collected the data in the right format.
The following data fields can be saved in the learner record. Please Note: FirstName is the only mandatory field.
FirstName
LastName
Email
UniqueReference
Parent1FirstName
Parent1LastName
Parent1Email
Parent2FirstName
Parent2LastName
Parent2Email
DateOfBirth
Easiest way to do this is to build the data in the required format and then copy and paste it into the space provided.
The format required is a comma separated list of values in the order presented above with 1 learner per line, no text delimiters such as ” or ‘. No column headers. Each row has the same data fields.
You can include all data fields or you can choose to include all data fields up to and including the field you need.
If you plan on updating learner data later then it’s important to include a UniqueReference with your data. When a unique reference is included in the data the system checks if it exists, if not then it creates a NEW record, if it does exist then the supplied fields are updated.
We recommend trying to import a sample of your data first with 2 or 3 learners so you can check the columns map to the right fields. When you are happy repeat for all learners.
