EfL SEND Networking and Development Day: 10th July 2019

Following the success of last year’s EfL SEND Collaboration day and literally dozens of requests from last year’s attendees to hold a similar event this year, we are delighted to announce that we are hosting the 2019 EfL SEND Networking and Development Day on Wednesday 10th July 2019 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

2019 EfL SEND Networking and Development Day

Last year’s event…

As you’ll know if you came to the last event… just under 100 SEND leaders and practitioners attended last year from more than 80 schools and settings. The buzz in the room from the discussions taking place around the tables was infectious and we had some fabulous speakers sharing some exceptional practice.

This year…

The aim for this year’s event is to capitalise and build on the expertise, experience and energy that exists across our community – there are now more than 350 SEND schools, colleges, provisions and settings using Evidence for Learning.

As with last year, we want the emphasis of the day to be about discussion, learning and networking… giving you lots of opportunity to meet and forge relationships with new partners and collaborators for your professional networks.

In addition to presentations, lightning talks and general roundtable discussions on important questions around assessment, curriculum and broader SEND provision, we’re planning to run split stream sessions and workshops on a range of special interest topics – very much informed by what you have told us over the last 6-12 months.

The day is very much for you, and we sincerely want to make it one of the most useful and informative professional development and networking events of the year for you. More than 120 people have already booked to attend, so it ought to be a fantastic opportunity to collaborate and learn about what colleagues are doing in SEND around the country.

Finally… for this year’s event, we’ve partnered with Lois and Richard Hirstwood from Hirstwood Training who will be bringing their expertise and experience at running large development events for the SEND community to help ensure the day runs smoothly and is a success for all involved.
